Margaret Smith

Her parents were Pert and Sid Spencer, and her sister was Jean. She was a local girl all her life. Margaret and Cliff got married in 1964 in this church.

Margaret worked in the factory on Scotter Road for a number of years, as well as working on farms as well.

She enjoyed senior citizens trips to Blackpool, Matlock and Scarborough.

Margaret had various interests, including football, cricket, golf, and she was always keen to keep up with the latest news. She also enjoyed a good singalong in the pub.

Margaret was a very good cook, and loved her home which was always kept spick and span. She also had a great love for animals, particularly her corgi dogs, Lady and Kelly, and she loved feeding the birds in her garden.
